Taste at The Grove

Caruso Affiliated announces the 3rd Annual Taste at The Grove taking place on Saturday, June 23rd. Presented by Cadillac, this culinary immersion will bring guests together to enjoy live demonstrations from leading chefs, complimentary gourmet restaurant samplings and a speaking panel featuring notable Los Angeles restaurant personalities. Furthermore, Grove favorite, the Whisper Restaurant and Lounge, will unveil new menu offerings honoring the property’s 10-Year Anniversary, which kicked off in March 2012.

Open to the public from 10am to 6pm, the Taste at The Grove will be hosted by celebrated Los Angeles culinary icon, Susan Feniger. In addition, guests who test-drive the all-new 2013 Cadillac XTS on-site will gain access to an exclusive Cocktail Affair that will take place in The Park at The Grove between 7pm-9pm.

Cooking Demonstrations

From 11am-5pm, live cooking demonstrations will be hosted on the main stage in The Park at The Grove and will feature renowned local chefs such as Susan Feniger (Border Grill, Street), Kajsa Alger (Street), Neal Fraser (BLD) and Steven Rodriguez (Morel’s French Steakhouse & Bistro).

Restaurant Sampling

From 11am–5pm, The Grove’s restaurants and Susan Feniger’s globally-influenced Street will be sampling various menu offerings. Guests may purchase tickets at a table adjacent to The Park for $1 each and purveyed items will range between 1-3 tickets. During this portion of the event, The Whisper Restaurant and Lounge will debut its newest menu items that celebrate The Grove’s milestones 10-year anniversary, and will remain on its menu through March 2013.

Panel Discussion

New to this year’s programming is a live open-format panel discussion between Los Angeles based culinary authorities that revolves around the theme “How their travels have influenced their cooking styles and the menus in their restaurants today.” Hosted by Susan Feniger, the panel will be comprised of an exclusive group of Los Angeles chefs including Brooke Williamson (Hudson, The Tripel), Giselle Wellman (Petrossian Boutique and Restaurant) and Micah Wexler (Mezze).

Recipe Challenge

The 3rd Annual Taste at The Grove will also feature an online Summer Recipe Challenge in which guests can upload their very own favorite travel-inspired summer dish. The three finalists whose recipes receive the most online votes will judged by Susan Feniger, who will announce the winner live at the event. The winner will receive a $250 Shopping Spree at The Grove. Guests are invited to upload their Summer Recipes on the Grove Facebook page:

Susan Feniger Book Signing at Barnes and Noble

Additionally, Susan Feniger will be signing her new book, STREET Food (before its release), at Barnes and Noble from 6pm – 7pm.
