THE PARTY Philanthropists, Hollywood celebrities, those affected by multiple sclerosis and supporters joined together to raise funds for MS research at the 23rd annual Race to Erase MS gala. Held in the main ballroom at The Beverly Hilton hotel, the elegant fĂȘte was hosted by altruist Nancy Davis, who first organized the standout event more than two decades ago as a result of being stricken with the disease. THE SCENE During the cocktail hour, partygoers sipped on Svedka vodka cocktails and perused hundreds of silent auction items, which ranged from jewelry to restaurant gift cards to fabulous trips. Guests like Diane Warren and LL Cool J helped garner more than $1.6 million during the evening and were treated to a gourmet meal, which included a tomato burrata salad; chicken stuffed with spinach, sun-dried tomato, Parmesan and pine nuts; and a trio of decadent desserts. THE HIGHLIGHTS To wrap up the spirited evening, legendary band KISS performed hit songs “Rock and Roll All Nite,” “Deuce,” “Calling Dr. Love” and “Cold Gin,” which, of course, got the crowd on its feet.
