THE PARTY Barbra Streisand opened her Malibu compound for a dinner benefiting Cedars-Sinai Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center (a portion of the hospital named for the benefactress star) and honoring former President Bill Clinton. THE PLAYERS David Foster, Sumner Redstone, Ron Meyer, Haim and Cheryl Saban, Donna Karan THE HIGHLIGHTS Before singing for her supper, Streisand launched into her standup routine. It turns out, she said, that heart research on women also benefits men. A doctor grew the first human heart from stem cells, but only found success using female stem cells. “Using male stem cells didn’t work,” added Streisand, gleefully. “They actually got totally lost.
