When the Thompson Hollywood hotel opened its doors late last summer, it ushered in a vibrant take on the entertainment capital’s modern glamour.
By combining global sophistication with California cool, guests can experience refined luxury right in the heart of Tinsel Town and experience the city just like insiders. And with the start of the new year, Thompson Hollywood is further cementing it knows it’s city’s favorite pastime.
Inviting both hotel guests and local Angelenos to its must-visit rooftop, the hotel has teamed with Venice Beach-based Love Yoga for complimentary rooftop classes. The one-hour Saturday sessions kick off at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 and will run through the spring.
The Thompson Hollywood x Love Yoga partnership enhances the traditional yoga experience with panoramic views of downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills. Complimentary mimosas will be available, as will fresh fruit juice to take in the scenery at The Terrace, the hotel’s dining venue. What’s more, Thompson Hollywood will provide mats, water and towels and will adhere to COVID-19 safety regulations. A true gift to the city, the sessions are a holistic fitness experience that prioritizes guests’ needs for relaxation, rejuvenation, community and safety.
The fantastic amenities are more than enough reason to attend, but Love Yoga’s expertise is the true reason to stay. Their teachings are steeped in the Taoist theory and sacred geometry of Katonah yoga, a combination of esoteric dialogue and the studio’s Iyengar and Vinyasa backgrounds. It crafts a practice that provides tools for vitality beyond the classroom. In addition, the studio uses metaphors, perfect fits and breath work to build heat, strength and structural integrity.
Prioritizing community and joy, Love Yoga makes for the perfect partner for Thompson Hollywood’s expansion into the health and wellness space. Sian Gordon Fujikawa and Jeff Schwarz founded and operate the studio to help inspire others to take ownership of their mental, physical and emotional health. It all assures that this new endeavor is an efficient building block to building your best self.
Eac class operates on a first come, first serve basis with 15 spots available per session. Hotel guests can reserve their spot at the Thompson Hollywood front desk, while other attendees can book by email.
Thompson Hollywood is located at 1541 Wilcox Ave. 90028.
