Until Jay-Z names a song after you, you'll never be quite as suave as Tom Ford, but you can get closer to the mastery of the luxury fashion icon in his new book, Tom Ford 002.
His first book release, titled simply Tom Ford in 2004, focused on the designer's time as creative director for Gucci. Tom Ford 002 celebrates his post-Gucci years, taking readers through the designer’s independent career and the creation of the eponymous Tom Ford brand in 2005.

In typical Ford fashion, the book is covered with a sleek black and white design emphasizing the renowned designer's name. The 444-pages within feature lush imagery, celebrity stylings, details of Ford’s entrance into fragrance and beauty, his return to design, and his work in the film industry.
“I’m also the kind of person who likes to file things away and move on, so it was nice to put that 15 years into a slip cover and at age 60 start the next chapter," Ford said in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar. "It was very much a chapter of my life."
With 40 years in the industry under his belt, the designer is proud of his work and ready to share it with the world. The cathartic nature of the book is a reflection of Ford’s past as he continues to move forward in the ever-changing world of fashion.
