L.A.-based luxury accessories designer Tyler Ellis teams up with the Slim Aarons Estate on the limited-edition snapshot satchels collection.

When Tyler Ellis launched her eponymous accessories line in 2011, her customizable handmade purses became a red carpet-must almost immediately. Right in time for summer, the daughter of late American designer Perry Ellis—who counts A-listers including Naomi Watts, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez as fans—just launched Snapshots Satchels, a limited-edition handbag collection made in collaboration with the Slim Aarons estate. Ellis and Aarons’ team landed on three wanderlust-infused photos to incorporate on the designer’s Marilyn and Stella silhouettes: “Sunbathing by the sea in Florida” (circa 1955), “Beach at St. Tropez” (1977) and “Hotel du Cap Eden Roc” (1976). Comprised of 25 pieces per style, the capsule is available exclusively on Ellis’ website. “Whenever I delve into Slim’s creations, I’m whisked away to the enchanting moments he’s immortalized,” she shares. “His work, a tapestry of bliss, allure, wanderlust and indulgence, never fails to stir my imagination… and it struck me—why not carry your ‘happy place’ on your handbag?’”
