BY Laura Eckstein Jones | February 5, 2018 | Feature Features

Valeria Sorci was drawn to L.A. for a number of reasons, including the lifestyle, the energy and the city's many diverse neighborhoods. Here, the co-founder of Depart Foundation, Malibu-resident and mom of two shares her go-to spots in the City of Angels.
American Rag boasts some of the best vintage finds in L.A.

“I always order the same food at Cassia in Santa Monica: the Koda Farms chickpea curry that comes with one of the best flatbreads in town, and the sea bass.”

“The location, the design, the view and the food at Little Beach House in Malibu are all excellent and inspiring. Their Sunday Feast makes everybody happy as you can indulge in anything that you want. You name it, they have it.”

“I really like the programs at the ICA LA in DTLA and Art + Practice in Leimert Park: I applaud the fact that both have strong public programming and are engaged with their neighborhoods.”

The Hammer Museum store has a curated selection of books, products and great clothes, too. And the store at Depart Foundation Malibu Village stocks artists’ editions, great books and limited edition surf gear produced by local artists and surfers.”

“I love vintage, especially the finds at American Rag and Recess on La Brea and Shareen Vintage downtown.”
