What better way to cheers Beyoncé on her birthday than trying her new whisky, SirDavis?

The music phenom made her whisky debut at the end of last month. An American whisky, SirDavis is bottled in Beyoncé’s home state of Texas and made in partnership with Moët Hennessy, a subsidiary of LVMH.

Composed of 51% rye and 49% malted barley, the whisky offers the bold flavors of American rye while still showcasing an elegant mouthfeel typically experienced with Japanese and Scotch whiskies. This comes thanks to the secondary maturation in sherry casks.

In tandem with Bey’s Sept. 4 birthday, SirDavis is officially available online and in select stores. You can also opt to sip it at some of Los Angeles’ most esteemed bars, hotels and restaurants. Keep Virgo's groove going at one of the below L.A. establishments.

Honey Bee

Ingredients

  • 2 oz SirDavis American Whisky
  • .75 oz Lemon Juice
  • .5 oz Honey Syrup
  • Garnish: Honeycomb

Method

  1. Make the honey syrup: Add two parts honey and one part water into a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the honey is dissolved. Allow to cool and transfer to airtight container until ready to make the cocktail.
  2. Add liquid ingredients to a shaker tin.
  3. Add ice after all liquid ingredients.
  4. Shake
  5. Pour into a coupe glass.
  6. Garnish with honeycomb and enjoy.
