Pickleball has become the United States’ fastest-growing sport, and for Angelenos part of the trend, we’ve tracked down where you can play. Here are the best places to play pickleball in Los Angeles.

The Arroyo Seco Racquet Club is a great place to play pickleball. For members of the club, the courts are free to use and for non-members, the fee is $15 per person. To reserve a court, players can visit their website or call the front desk.

Interested in taking a pickleball lesson or class? Come to Beverly Hills Tennis Pickleball Program and join one of its group classes or schedule a private lesson. Group classes run all year round and private lessons can be booked for up to four players.

The Brentwood park is home to four courts dedicated specifically to pickleball. Ready to go with permanent lines and nets, Creekside Park is free to play at and was recently resurfaced. It is also home to the Brentwood Pickleball Club.

The Encino Community Center is located in the West Valley about a block away from Encino Park. At the Encino Community Center, there are four outdoor pickleball courts that anyone can go in and use for free.

A members club in West L.A., Griffin Club has four spiffy courts that players can drop in on Wednesdays and Fridays and can book a court throughout the week. You can also enhance your skills with a private lesson or opt for a more social setting by attending a pickleball event.

The Kelly Courts in Hermosa Beach have two pickleball courts for anyone to use. Players can also join the Pickleball Membership Program where they will be able to reserve the court when they choose to. The Kelly Court complex also has tennis and basketball courts if you’re planning a full day of activities!

Come to La Peer Hotel and play a game of pickleball on the rooftop court. Players can privately rent out the court and play pickleball while overlooking the city and enjoying handcrafted cocktails and snacks.

Larry L. Maxam Memorial Park in Burbank offers picnic tables, a playground and, of course, a pickleball court. The court is free for anyone to use. However, it can be reserved online on the park’s website. Also, instructors can obtain a park permit for the court and can teach lessons there to players.

In Manhattan Beach, Manhattan Heights Park offers drop-in play where anyone can come and play pickleball on weekdays from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. and they can purchase monthly passes. Players can also reserve the court per day if they want to privately practice pickleball.

At Pickle Pop, you don’t have to fret about the high heat of late summer or heavy downpours early in the year. The Santa Monica sports club offers three indoor pickleball courts where you can jump in on open play—member or not— or opt to partake in clinics, lessons or social events.

Plummer Park has five pickleball courts. The park partners with Tennacity, which offers private and group lessons for anyone who wants to learn pickleball and they also have open play every day.

The Santa Monica Pickleball Center has become the premier location for pickleball in Los Angeles. With four outdoor courts with top-of-the-line equipment, the center offers lessons and group clinics and is open seven days a week.

The Scholl Canyon Golf & Tennis Club has eight courts on its property and six dedicated pickleball courts. The courts are all outside and are free to play for pickleball newcomers and experts alike.

At West Hollywood Park, players can play pickleball on one of six courts. Also, players can reserve a court or go during the open-play times that the park has every day.

Westchester Pickleball is a great place to go for all skill levels of pickleball. The club hosts open-play sessions where players of all levels can come together to play and learn from each other. In addition, Westchester Pickleball offers lessons to help players increase their skills and knowledge of the game.
