Wynn Las Vegas nightlife managed to secure electronic dance music phenomenon Swedish House Mafia for the supergroup's first ever residency in North America. The group's hiatus from performing and releasing new music has come to an end with their global tour, new album and upcoming two-year residency with Wynn Nightlife at XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club which begins on August 20. Executive Ryan Jones of Wynn Nightlife handles talent marketing and gave us exclusive insight on why this residency is nothing like XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club guests have ever seen before.
Q: When did Wynn nightlife approach Swedish House Mafia with the residency offer and how did you all secure the deal?
A: We have had a relationship with the band and the band manager for a long time whether it was working with them as individuals or with management on other artists. We have always had an ongoing conversation with them. When the band got back together and headlined Coachella and dropped the new album it [was] great! We just came on the conversation organically and it worked.

Q: Any other new audio and visual implementations aside from the new LED displays, stage designs, pyrotechnics and cryogenics for the venues?
A: We have some tricks up our sleeves that we want people to come out and see for the first show. The most important thing for me with the first show is highlighting the band. I want the fans to see who they came to see and for the boys to be the highlight of the show.
Q: How does Wynn nightlife hope to influence their guests in a positive way?
A: We always want to stay cutting edge. We look at our talent, venues, production and marketing from every angle of the business. We want to stay on the cusp of what is new and exciting. [We look] to see what's coming up next.
Q: How does the Swedish House Mafia Residency contribute to that?
A: It's something that's never been done before so seeing them as a resident here as the total band is really special and unique to Vegas and Wynn nightlife. Putting them together is something that people have always wanted so [to do that] in this intimate club setting is really special.

Q: What is the most important aspect of this residency to Wynn nightlife?
A: This relationship is just very special to everybody from both sides. We are so excited for this partnership. This is going to be a very different feel for our guests that no one has seen in a nightclub setting before.
Q: Can you expand on said differences even for those who frequent Encore Beach Club and XS Nightclub?
A: I think the overall feel of the show is a little different than coming to our day in and day out shows because of the nostalgia of this band. We have the three guys playing together for many years.
