Music has a new home in Los Angeles, and it’s coming from a very familiar source.
YouTube moves far beyond its on-demand digital video service with the YouTube Theater, a new 6,000-capacity venue in Hollywood Park. The 227,000-square-foot performance venue celebrated its official grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 9, and it plans to provide fans with a one-of-a-kind live experience.

Aiming to construct an engaging platform for arts and culture, the three-storied building incorporates two interactive digital walls, along with interior and exterior balconies. A two-story Kaynemaile chandelier adds glamour to the chic, tech-forward space.
The venue also features six premium boxes, a 1,200 square-foot back-of-house hospitality space, and a 3,500-square-foot private club with 140 premium seats. Fitted with a sound system by L-Acoustics, YouTube Theater has signed an exclusive deal with Live Nation.
"YouTube Theater is in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world and inspired by creativity and technology,” Hollywood Park Developer E. Stanley Kroenke is quoted in a press release. Kroenke also serves as Owner and Chairman of the Los Angeles Rams who play in SoFi Stadium near the new YouTube Theater location.
“YouTube Theater’s opening series of special and diverse concerts and events is not only for the Inglewood and Los Angeles communities it calls home but also representative of them,” Kroenke continues. “On this special occasion, we want to express our deepest appreciation to the partners, colleagues and employees that helped bring YouTube Theater to life. We cannot wait to welcome you.”
As the largest urban mixed-use development in the West Coast, YouTube Theater hopes to become a new cultural icon among the LA community. Concerts are already planned, representing artists from rock to hip-hop, R&B and more, but the venue offers diverse amenities and an infrastructure prepared to host awards shows, esports competitions, community gatherings, conferences and more.
